Will I lose control?
Hypnosis will enable you to enter into a deep state of relaxation and comfort in which you will become even more aware of you surroundings and what you are doing. Control stays with you totally.
What does Hypnosis feel like?
Each persons experience is different and will vary from time to time. In general it is a pleasant feeling of relaxation where the client feels little desire to move or open their eyes, although they could if they really wanted to.
What if I get ‘stuck’ in hypnosis?
This is just not possible - remember control stays totally with you. You will simply return to your normal awake state feeling refreshed and with a great sense of achievement.
Will I tell the therapist my deepest secrets?
Only if you want to.
Can the therapist control my mind?
Not at all! No one under hypnosis can be induced to do anything against his or her will. Whatever moral and ethical codes you hold in a normal waking state will still be in place under hypnosis.
How will you put me into hypnosis?
Using words, a soothing tone, mental imagery and various exercises and techniques (such as deep breathing) to induce a pleasant, relaxed state to begin with.
How will I feel after hypnosis?
Relaxed, refreshed and fully alert. You will be able to drive and continue your day normally.
